The depth of character in this book makes you feel that it could be to you that this is happening. The protagonist isn’t perfect and has a bitter streak.

But then I’ve loved everything I’ve heard by this author!

If a guy making homophobic jokes and fat jokes and necrophilia jokes is your thing, this story is for you. Undead murder mystery ... not sure “mystery” is the right word, but it’s got enough in common with hard boiled detective pulps, it’ll communicate. Not really my jam, thus just the 3 stars.

Hilariously entertaining. It’s Monty Python meets modern reality in the dark ages. Even though I could only see Bartoc as Topper, I think it made it better, all the other characters were hilarious and easy to imagine. I have an affinity for how Maclean ends his books and this was no...Read full review »

This is one of the best stories I've ever "heard". I love just about anything by Patrick E. McLean and recomend this to everyone who's a fan of dark humor and the macabe. If you loved "Dexter" you'll love this.Read full review »

I really enjoyed this story. Great characters, interesting plot, and very good voice acting made it hard to stop listening. It's not a long book, but if you like a thriller, with a bit of humor, take the time to listen to this one.Read full review »

Thank you very much I enjoyed this story very much and I hope you do a book 2. I have listened to loads of audiobooks and this is up there with the best. Very well spoken also which helps no end.

I downloaded a few episodes to listen to casually at work, big mistake. I found myself wanting the next episode immediately. It's a great story, the production quality is very good, and it makes you want another one continuing the story after it's done. The author's voice is perfect...Read full review »

Smart and sarcastic reworking of a zombie tale. Was a great boost on the long drive to work (in my tie and short sleeve shirt!) thank you to the author for giving such great quality work to us free.

Excellent work here - a very different twist of a story that, like a good meal, has me wanting just one more mouthful every episode. You will not regret subscribing to this. Plus, is it just me, or does the theme music remind you of "One of the Few" from Pink Floyd's Final Cut...Read full review »

True to form, this is as enthralling as how to succeed in evil, just as sarcastic, and just as fun. The only problem is the episode order, you can't just put it on and play them.Read full review »

This is a short book, even for a novella. More like a long short story. You don't get a ton of episodes, and none are more than 15 minutes and some as short as 7. It's a fairly interesting story with a couple mild twists along the way. Interesting enough to keep listening, but not really...Read full review »

This is not about the content, but the way it's being published. Why are they in reverse order by date? When I play back the podcasts on my iPhone, it does the last first. Not so good when I'm trying to listen to multiple chapters while riding my bike or driving.Read full review »

This guy produces better podcasts than anyone, bar none. His stories are creative to the point I have to wonder if he's a genius or insane. His reading style is perfect too. He has a great voice and great timing.Read full review »
