Highlight of my week
I've been listening to this from day one, and have, along the way, been laughing with and enjoying Liel, Mark, and Stephanie's view on life. They are funny, irreverent, and knowledgeable about most things (though not always about Jewish law). There's a good mix of conservatism (hey Liel!) and liberalism, and I appreciate the banter that comes along with that mix. The News of the Jews segment is always hilarious, and the Guest Jews/Gentiles are generally great too, though that is less controlled by Unorthodox itself. My one gripe is that lack of religious Judaism on the show; I sometimes feel that, with three more or less secular people on the show, Jewish stereotypes about neurosis, food, and mothers play more into effect than they should. Further, no one is orthodox -- which doesn't inherently mean anything -- but it also means a kind of disdain sometimes for Orthodox Judaism and a lack of Jewish law and practice in general.Read full review »

Love the irreverence, the interplay among the hosts and the great array of guests. When I've had a bad day and listen to Unorthodox on my way home, I usually feel a lot better by the time I pull into my garage.Read full review »
