An important part of our history
This podcast is excellent. I’m familiar with some stories like this. In Florida, it’s only been in recent years that we have learned about the extent of abuse that took place at a reform school in North Florida and I am sure there are many others. Although it is hard to listen to we need to hear it and pay attention. I want us to be alert and vigilant to situations like these that in some respects are still occurring today. Say yes to teaching black history in our schools! We can’t fix what we are kept ignorant of!

I’ve made it part way through the second episode. It’s an important story and I’ll most likely finish the series. Truly heartbreaking.
