“The content is fascinating and the basic concept is excellent.
However, Amy Nicholson speaks very quickly, with an extremely pronounced vocal fry and very sibilant s-sounds. I find I cannot listen to the podcast with headphones (the main way I listen to podcasts), as the total effect is too grating and distracting.
It’s a shame, because she’s otherwise very knowledgeable and engaging.
Perhaps in future episodes, the mic could be made less sensitive or she could develop a more “radio-friendly” voice. I really want to be able to love this podcast!”
