Well done podcast
The reporter herself talks about how meditating can be beneficial to people. I for one think that most forms of meditation are absolute garbage. This is coming from an Indian man BTW. Vipasanna does not make common sense. Human’s are highly social creatures, we are meant to connect and communicate with people. Detachment from social scenarios is seen as regressive by any shrink. More like Asatyata Narayan Goenka..Asatyata mean falsehood. By evacuating your mind of all thought and reason you will invite something spiritually that will fill that void. The little bit of resistance you would have had against a certain temptation will face no push back since there is no resistance. There is good meditation. Meditate instead on the word of God. This kind of meditation is the opposite of emptying your mind, it is instead filling your mind with knowledge and wisdom from your creator. Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Ignore the negative reviews (biased??). Untold: The Retreat is an excellent, very compelling piece of journalism. Anyone with an interest in meditation, psychology, cults, or anyone just looking for an intense story should give this podcast a listen.
