AL-ANON and AA WORK- Don’t settle for a ‘company’ portraying that
AL-ANON and AA is not shameful or deceptive as your descriptive tone expresses in your podcasts. Our programs have worked since the 1930’s. Yes it’s not for everyone but I have personally tried to follow ‘somebody’ for recovery. It fails. Whether that ‘somebody’ is in it for money or not, it shows here. Don’t buy into anything but yourself and the amazing community which has been around for 80 plus years. Believe in something now someone. That something can be God or ANYTHING you want to make it for recovery. I have learned that recovery doesn’t start with anyone but yourself. Don’t follow an object, follow an objective. This podcast and ‘Unintoxicated’ project had an objective for sobriety but we now know this has been established now to be a cash-cow and a ‘making a living’ turmoil. Go to a meeting. Talk to other people in the program. Make new friends. Don’t follow someone. Follow something. You will make it that way. Rely on your community. Not someone who says something to sell you on what they are saying.

I am married to an alcoholic. I found your podcast and started listening and I am on your 8th episode. I don’t know how many times I have already cried listening to it. I thought I was alone and crazy with the way I felt being married to an alcoholic but now I know I’m not. I feel like I’m...Read full review »
