Matt and Sheri are real, honest and genuine. Finding this podcast changed my life. I felt so alone and that no one understood what life was like with a high functioning alcoholic spouse. Listening to their podcast and joining Echoes validated all my feelings and helped me start to heal.

Ever since the first episode, I have never looked back! LOVE this podcast! The ability to share the raw details and painful moments of the past in order to help others is SO commendable! Their hearts are in the right place and having both perspectives represented is unique and highly beneficial!...Read full review »

Vacations are always tense. If he's not telling me he doesn't want to go as we are leaving the neighborhood: --He thinks the hotel is "too nice" for him --He has a panic attack (finally realized this after 30 years as they are not typical attacks) --He drinks a lot, even though...Read full review »

The content of this podcast is pretty helpful but I listen to it with earbuds and the extreme volume up/down is HORRIBLE. My ears are damaged for sure. They have guests that speak soooooo low so I turn up the volume to hear, then everyone laughs and my eardrums are blown. Or Sheri talks low and...Read full review »

I have listened to this podcast for a while and am disappointed to be hearing more political commentary that really isn’t necessary. To say that more alcoholics are Trump supporters is ridiculous. I would think you of all people would know that it’s not correct to blame anyone for someone’s...Read full review »

This podcast speaks to me on so many levels. The hosts are very relatable it’s like they’ve looked into my soul. My husband is a high functioning alcoholic,This podcast is so helpful for dealing with the day-to-day gut wrenching stress and sadness I feel.

Matt and Sheri pour their hearts, minds and souls into this podcast. They are unafraid to share how the disease of alcoholism took their relationship to a very dark place … as well as their journey out. Their wisdom and honestly are compelling! It is obvious that Matt has learned a lot about...Read full review »

I am married to an alcoholic. I found your podcast and started listening and I am on your 8th episode. I don’t know how many times I have already cried listening to it. I thought I was alone and crazy with the way I felt being married to an alcoholic but now I know I’m not. I feel like I’m...Read full review »

This podcast for me was at once validating and inspirational. Like most wives are of alcoholics desperate to save the man I love - who is suffering from a horrible disease - I poured over the internet looking for answers. What I found time and time again was - blame and shame towards the...Read full review »

Listening to these podcasts are like looking in the mirror of myself and my husband. I'm so thankful for the pure honesty and knowledge that is shared. I now have a starting point to end the pain and suffering because I haven't until now, found anything or anyone I could relate to. Bless...Read full review »

I love that they offer the perspective of the alcoholic AND the spouse. Also love that they talk about science rather than spirituality. Their topics are often ones that I am currently struggling with and/or discussing with my alcoholic spouse.

While I appreciate their candor, some of the episodes are especially tough to listen to. My husband and I have roughly the same story in terms of how alcohol impacted our 25 year relationship and are approximately the same age as the Salis couple. The episodes about their sexual history made me...Read full review »

I think the topics Matt and Sheri discuss are open and honest and raw. So raw. It’s great to see their own progress through the episodes, and yet keep the listener going through the same hoops in their head they can relate to. No matter what we are on our recovery journey. There is definitely...Read full review »

AL-ANON and AA is not shameful or deceptive as your descriptive tone expresses in your podcasts. Our programs have worked since the 1930’s. Yes it’s not for everyone but I have personally tried to follow ‘somebody’ for recovery. It fails. Whether that ‘somebody’ is in it for money or...Read full review »
