The Most Loving Gothic Horror
So first, this story is beautifully meandering. The whole first two seasons I feel like you’re being introduced to different people and different little sides of the mystery. Its not super spooky, you're just left with a lot of questions. Slightly eerie is where I’d put it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but if you want an intensely scary story this isnt for you. You’re going to love all the characters. Theyre all wholesome and loving even if their way of showing it isn't always compatible. I would definitely say the writers did a great job seamlessly writing a loving and tolerant town. I’m so happy the wrote and finished this. Im so sad its over. I’m going to miss all of the characters, but it was a good listen. Thank you to the writers, the cast, and the crew. You did a wonderful job.Read full review »

More reviews of Unwell, a Midwestern Gothic Mystery
As a longtime fan of Our Fair City, Unwell is a distinctly surreal podcast that I’d come to expect from HartLife. It’s intriguing premise and superior production design keep it above the quality of most other available podcasts. Keep up the good work, guys!

To borrow from a friend, if you love sprawling old houses, celery soda jingles, casseroles, children presenting historical events through pageants, the Midwest, ghostly happenings, and record stores, then give it a listen!

Wow. How can a show make me so uncomfortable, then elated, then anxious, then comfortably homey in such a short time? Three episodes into this piece of midwestern gothic suspense, seasoned with social justice awareness and mission, and I’m hooked.
