Payne weaves a true crime story like no other! The twists and turns of each episode is like a rollercoaster ride! You are a expert at shaking the leaves out of the trees! Thank you for helping the families and friends get answers!

The best podcast I have listened too. Absolutely not one complaint here. Nothing happening on this one that gets on my nerves. So very well done and detailed. No time constraints. Just wanting the story. The truth. My only complaint is I need another Season!!!!

On and on and on about nothing quite simply just babbling on and on and on about nothing

Great podcast of interesting information but my goodness the same thing is often said over and over and over and over within a singular conversation.

I am 100% a lover of true crime and podcasts and i love the way that Payne tells Tara’s story. Episode 19 is so raw and the way that Payne sticks up for Tara and her case in this episode is all I ever want to hear in true crime stories.

I have very mixed feelings about this podcast. On the one hand, it really does seem like the podcast helped uncover new info in the Grinstead case. On the other hand, I thought some of the choices by the host were very self-aggrandizing. For example, including the voicemail from his...Read full review »

Of course in the first episode of Season 4, Payne is the central focus for at least half the time. A narcissist’s narcissist he is. At least he didn’t crowbar in his Grandma praising him again (as was the case over and over and over again in Season 1). Interesting story but this pod needs...Read full review »

I am in the middle of my daily binge, currently listening to season 3! Payne, I wish that I could do the amazing things you have done for people. I aspire to be as amazing as you. I want to work with addicts and help them. I am almost on 3 years clean! I listen to Up and Vanished every day while...Read full review »

The atmospheric description of this story really places you in the moment. I am entirely intrigued and looking forward to a conclusion on this sad tale.

Can’t get enough, Payne! Keep up the great work and dedication you put into each case.

How Can people dissapear without any trail i 2016? Why is police not caling detectives to allow things to be saved for later tecnical observation in the case earlier? I simply can’t get past the first episode of season one. The woman reading the trial notes sounds like a stewardess informing us of the current weather conditions when we land . Brutal

I really enjoyed this podcast and recommended it to friends, however the image on the front screen is a bit of a spoiler, combined with the fact that you have to scroll past the latest episodes to find Season 1 to start the story from the beginning. It’s an amazing story so it would be good to...Read full review »

I’m a huge true crime fan. I’ve seen every Dateline, every serial killer documentary, listened to other investigative podcasts. Nothing comes close to the thrill, suspense, or creepiness of Up and Vanished. It’s not even “true crime” - it’s a real time account of Payne Lindsey joining an open...Read full review »

I love True Crime material however, this podcast has been so thoroughly thought out, researched, and the victim becomes a part of my life, their story is told so well. I can’t think of enough good things to say, but this: I’m inspired enthralled, and binge listen as often as I can. Just sorry I...Read full review »

I just finished the first season. It’s great that this podcast caused people to talk more and elicited more information. While I think Payne worked really hard on this and did very important work which helped the case be where it is, I had two big problems with it. 1. Lack of sensitivity - in the...Read full review »

PL was annoying and made me mad. You can read other reviews to find out why he’s such an aggravating true crime podcast host. I thought the Phineas Gage episode was idiotic. I hated it. I’ve had to give up entirely after listening to episode 19. What a disgusting way to speak to that poor woman. I realise the host is relatively inexperienced (as evidenced by the rest of this rambling series), but this is no excuse for what is nothing short of bullying. He should feel...Read full review »

THE perfect true crime podcast. Payne only provides necessary info, doesn’t blabber, and doesn’t include unnecessary commentary from outsiders. The podcast is very professionally done. The Tara case blew wide open as he was making the podcast, so it was a wild ride. Would recommend to anyone!

Loved the podcast. Editing is well done, making the content more interesting and entertaining. I’m looking forward to the next season but I can’t stand the lady host’s voice in season four that follows Ryan Duke’s trial. Her voice is muffled? Like she has too much saliva…I’m sorry but I didn’t...Read full review »

Eh
I wish I could rate specific seasons. Season 1: easily 5 stars. All the rest were hard to follow and lost interest so quickly. Thinking this show is a one hit wonder.

An interesting story that could have been trimmed to 6 episodes. Too many opinions of no consequence were canvassed. Often hard to hear interviewees

Interesting podcast but I find myself skipping a lot of episodes and content to get to the point and outcome. (The gratuitous back-patting in season 1, yeah - that did not help…)

I do really enjoy this podcast. But I have to say, I’m finding the Kristal Resinger episodes hard to listen to purely do to the audio mixing of the recorded phone calls. Straight up cacophony, no matter who the caller is. Practically inaudible, extremely frustrating.

Podcast is fine. I’m only here because I’m listening to season 4 Live at Crime Con and it is absolute bilge. So cringe.

Despite being very amateur and having little to no knowledge of criminal law, Payne is very cocky about his work here it’s extremely off-putting. More often than not, he gets puzzled by legal matters that are very familiar to True Crime fans, and the listener has to wait for someone to explain to...Read full review »

This podcast is interesting and informative. It had me at the edge of my seat...... until I realized just how inflated Payne’s ego got from all the praise he had gotten for “solving the case.” Once I heard his own inflated ego and delusions of grandeur I was unable to keep his pompous smile out...Read full review »

The interview with (I believe it was, not going to go back to identify it was him) Bo Dukes in season 1 ended it for me.
