I used to stay up to watch true crime tv and now I can’t wait to go to bed and listen to this podcast and all the series. It’s so well done and opens my eyes to how victims are selected to get justice and who the police let slip through the cracks. My adv is take care in small towns and getting...Read full review »

I first started hearing Dennis Cooper then Payne Lindsay and they make the perfect podcasts. Their voices their methods and their way of putting you right there in the room to draw you in are amazing. It is the easiest podcast to listen to in any environment. Their dedicated work is tremendous...Read full review »

Thank you for focusing on an Alaska case, including a missing indigenous woman. I live and work in AK and was in Nome last month. I also work with law enforcement and it’s been relayed to me by someone who worked in Nome at that time that Nome had a serial killer operating in the community. ...Read full review »

Like others have mentioned, I found the host very insensitive and self-involved at times. The ‘cool story’ comment from the jump and his self reported motivations for pursuing the story were the first red flag. There were other moments that elicit eye rolls but the mental health stuff was the...Read full review »

I was incredibly excited to finally listen to season 3, but I’m a binge listener so it took all my strength to wait for the completion. The first season was one of my initial introductions to the true crime world, I appreciate his ability to deliver clear information and present the story with...Read full review »

Just stop already. I don’t want to listen to all of Payne’s or Tenderfootz podcasts. Stop forcing them on me.

Good narrator, decent story teller. But another podcaster who never resolves anything. Solve the mystery or don’t bother wasting listeners time with a bunch of ridiculous trails that Lead to nowhere.

You’re not an imposter, your heart is in the right place. Keep shedding light on America’s dark secrets. You’re a voice for these women.

Payne Lindsay’s faux concerns for his stories/himself coupled with the dramatic sounds and music are laughable.

I understand making an announcement about a new show or season from the same network, but to release every single episode of another show on the UaV feed is tacky and annoying
Nik@Knite via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/16/24
So many of the interviews are rabbit holes of rambling people clearly impacted by trauma and mental health issues. It’s ick the way he takes advantage of people who really need mental health care. Maybe try a season focused on the need for stronger support services on the reservations.

This podcast is interesting and informative. It had me at the edge of my seat...... until I realized just how inflated Payne’s ego got from all the praise he had gotten for “solving the case.” Once I heard his own inflated ego and delusions of grandeur I was unable to keep his pompous smile out...Read full review »

Season four gets bogged down in blow by blow narration of the process of texting, emailing, calling sources. The reporter centers the story on himself/his experience, and it gets tedious quick.

Up and vanished is great!! 10/10 but please stop putting episodes from a different show up, we follow up and vanish and not status untraced

I started with season 1 the first 5 episodes where good but episodes 6,7,and 8 had really nothing to do with the missing person. I couldn’t listen too any more. Up and vanished is one of my favorite podcasts I’ve ever listened too, especially of all the true crime shows! Payne Lindsey is such a great journalist and podcast lead. Such a great podcast, but the promise of more episodes and not following through is starting to get old.

I think he twittered there would be a delay but I wish someone on the team would put out a PSA about it. Payne is committed so don’t worry he’ll bring the goods and help to get justice. If only egos could be set aside I think the detectives would find the answers.

I’ve been getting podcasts alerts for the rest of season 4 and it’s all filler ads and paywall. I had to unfollow the show. Great show, but I personally will forget about the story and lose interest if there is a months long break in between.

Stop titling Status Untraced and Talking to Death episodes with Up and Vanished. You’re clickbaiting shows we already listen to. Why must it be this way?

Holy cow! This is riveting. Hard to believe a town with suspects with last name Duke and Dukes could coverup anything! Thank you for an amazing podcast. I hope Tara’s family & friends find some peace.

What an important podcast! I applaud your effort to shed light on the mistreatment of indigenous women. There’s a beautiful show called Little Bird on Amazon Prime covering the Sixties Scoop in Canada. I hope more people pay attention to the past and present mistreatment of Native Americans.

The fact that there hasn’t even been any communication about why yall can’t post in June when you said you would is bad business and pretty irresponsible. For those reading this I recommend Jodi Webber’s coverage on the Karen Read trial. She keeps her word on when updates will be given. ✌️

UK listener here. I can’t understand the negative reviews, the podcast is great. Loved it. Binged it. Viewed the story telling as groundbreaking new journalism. But then the trial coverage started and I stopped listening. I realize Payne can’t cover everything but to keep viewers and a thread of continuity, he should’ve at least commentated more.

This is the type of podcast I enjoy but couldn’t get past the background noise. Music trail ins are fine as long as it doesn’t overpower the voices.

Does she know what she has said makes people hate her & Bo even more? She doesn’t even make sense. No one cares about any of the stupid irrelevant points she tried to make. Payne and the crew at Up and Vanished are godsends! I love how carefully they walk through these stories with the best interest of the victims at mind. Lots of details about the case and different perspectives but some parts were way too long, some interviews that took a whole episode were not needed. Just dragged on had to skip through quiet a few episodes as it was either repetitive or too long to get to the point.
