Dark Mind Detective, where are you June 2024?

Used to love listening to the cases on the dtes but feel as if it’s gone downhill in the past 6 months. Re-review: been really enjoying the recent podcasts without the vancity police and ‘lovebombing’ guests. Would be great to see some more of Vancouver in the 80’s/90’s. I’m sure the audience...Read full review »

Clifford Olson tried to pick up my mom in a white van when she was in middle school in Coquitlam. He asked her if she needed a ride, she said she was close to home and denied him. He was persistent and kept asking, after the third time he told her to “Get the F*** in the car!” My mom freaked out...Read full review »

I’m just listening to a March 2020 episode and needed to comment. My Dad grew up in East Van in the 1960s. I’ve heard some pretty crazy stories about the things that went on in the neighborhood during those years. I will say that Template wasn’t just a tough school in the 80s.

This host harasses and threatens people over comments made on his social platforms.

Extremely disjointed Hard story lines to follow Repetition of unimportant facts Right idea great cases just needs more forethought or maybe an editor

A good podcast but unfortunately have to rate it lower due to bad grammar and awkward pauses which makes it seem like a script is being poorly read. I imagine this podcast will get better and better with time, so I’ll come back to it later and give it another try!

Listening to these stories. I too lived in Vancouver during the late 80’s and also for the last decade. I like that I don’t have to listen to any loud jarring commercials, or music & your voice is soothing. I also like that the stories are longer. I’m not a big fan of 15 minute podcasts.

Lots of super interesting stories about Vancouver, really like Marc!!!

Painful to listen to. I suggest writing a script first. You repeat yourself over and over.

Very hard to follow. Seems to be all over the place. Not researched well enough. Nothing cited. Go back to the drawing board and take longer to do research.

I don’t know how you do it but you have a way of making your stories come to life. Interestingly enough I can’t pause any episode without listening to it all. I keep thinking I’ll posit listen to something now but I am unable to do that without finishing an episode. Kudos because I wasn’t sure...Read full review »

Very hard to listen to voice. Also not very thought out just rambling on. Could be a lot better with some effort

I like this podcast. Thanks! It would be better if the volume of background music could be lower. Sometimes it’s a little distracting.

I like the goals and insider info in this podcast. I have a bit of a hard time with the info delivery being a bit all over the place, bouncing back and fourth to beginning and ending of cases. I prefer a strict timeline as it is easier to follow and focus on details. Also prefer just facts not...Read full review »

The host does a BRILLIANT job. I couldn’t sleep one night, decided to see if there were any new podcasts about the Boziak case. I was hooked after ten minutes of listening to episode 1. I’m almost done with Boaziak episode 4 - then I will continue binge on the rest. I love your theories,...Read full review »

Growing up across the US border in B’ham area I couldn’t agree with the thoughts and angles of the host any more. I’m just half way thru the 1st episode and I’m already hooked. This is absolutely a story that needs to be told and heard, and the analysis is perfect. This is endlessly...Read full review »

Great guy, Pod Casts are great! Always listening. Upload some more, take care of yourself!
BigManDontPlay2323 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/09/20
As another listener noted it does start out a bit rough the first episode or two orbit hard to get through. And then it only gets better. The episode on “the house” is by far my favourite. I live in East Van not far from that house. Lol 🤘

I really enjoy this podcast. Marc is a good story teller. He cares about missing people. I love learning about Vancouver.

Interesting podcast. Vancouver has always had a huge gang presence . In the 1970 the gangs ruled the parks. In the 80s they ruled the schools. In the 90s they ruled the parties. In the 00 they ruled the internet. Currently I got no clue what the young gangs are doing.

a good podcast, and story teller and a inside guild into Vancouvers seedy underbelly. Don’t listen to the trolls its bound to happen when you talk about controversial topics.
gvvjjvvbj via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 04/11/20
This podcast was a bit rough at first but has majorly improved, the podcast combined insight in to Vancouver and its issues, the many missing people, unsolved murdered women and the corruption of money laundering. He seem to have some trolls will the one star reviews.

It’s just an annoying voice rambling on cases that have been on the news. All the “research” is just stuff you look up on google from news articles. just an outsider looking in, no valuable or credible information. Boring.

Explores the darkest sides of a beautiful city through both first hand accounts and well researched story telling. Tragic, lesser known true crime cases covered with thoughtfulness and compassion.
