“I grew up in Brunswick County and knew some of these characters by name…. I was 1.5 hrs away in college and really had little knowledge about what was going on in Varnamtown. I had spent many weekends there with my best friend during Middle School. The full story is quite entertaining although there are a few too many unrelated stories (the Mexican genius). Also, I really don’t know where all the putt putt courses are around Varnumtown. There’s only 1 that was opened many later on the way to Varnamtown from the Wilmington airport. Maybe they flew into Myrtle Beach? Also, I dont believe it was a Tasty Freeze where Mike Grimes met Roger and Duane. It was probably at the Dairy Maid in Shallotte, which was the only fast food place in town and was a known place to park and hang out. Overall, I enjoyed the series immensely. That poor Pilot!”
