Interesting story, hosts are A-holes
I’m only few episodes in .The story is very interesting, but the hosts are so pompous and elitist. I’ve heard tidbits about Cartel drug rings in small towns in North Carolina (Alex Murdaugh case and some others )so I was interested in hearing a deep dive . The way the hosts make fun of small town people is awful, especially Roger for trying to take a stand and make a change in the place. It broke my heart for Roger when they had him read the letter he wrote to president Reagan. Imagine the helplessness and desperation this man felt to go and do that . I knew the hosts were going to make fun of him. If a serious investigative team was doing this story with some class they would’ve given Roger the respect he deserves . These druggies were harassing his family and getting away with all of this. I hate when these “Pablo Escobar “ and drug king pin stories are painted like this wild and fun time .The amount of kids that grew up with drug addict parents in the 80’s and on.. the long term effects the drug problem in this country has had on families isn’t even measurable.. yet these drug king pin stories are always packaged in a way where they are glorified.

I listen to lots of podcasts, and someone told me about this one since I live close by in Brunswick Co. The story itself is an interesting story, but the story telling is chopped up. I can’t tell when they are talking about relevant info, or it’s a commercial, or a tangent. They put who worked...Read full review »

The podcast is interesting and makes you want to tune in for the next episode. Now for the bad, commercials are terribly placed into the stories. The hosts seem to give the vibe that they have no clue about the South. They tend to make fun of the folks, and their way of life. They, in my opinion...Read full review »
