Update: the complaints below have gotten better. Now I feel it is the light hearted yet informative podcast they intend it to be. Trevor has lightened up a bit as well. Dane Cash needs to stop restating himself three different ways every time he makes a point though. His race preview show is annoying given how he paraphrases himself. He needs to state his point, make an argument and move on {see what I did there?;-)}. Overall much better with an updated rating. ———————————- Man, I wanted to like this podcast. I read Velonews daily, subscribe to the print magazine as well. I like the lighthearted atmosphere the podcast brings to the cycling news world. Their analysis is fun and interesting. BUT, they use the word "take" like they are 7th graders just finding some new ironic word to use. "Garbage take," "first take," "what's your take," "here's my take..." Dozens and dozes of times each episode. Further Fred Dreier's (perhaps) parody of a game show host voice needs to stop. Talk like the other guys, be normal. Finally, Fast Talk's Trevor Connor is incredibly condescending bascially accusing all amateur racers of being massive Freds. Each of his episodes are very good at identifying a particular problem commonly encountered with us Fredly non-PRO racers, but does very little to actualy tell you how to solve it. "Dress warmer" was easy enough to convey. The whole series leaves me underwhelmed and feeling a bit insulted. That's my take.Read full review »

When there is a knowledgeable expert guest, it is not necessary for Mr. Connor to be talking about all the things he does and imply how wonderful and exceptional he is for a 47 y/o...Read full review »

Highly entertaining! Took this one on my evening walk and laughed out loud many times. Snappy intelligent interviews re the renowned Dirty Kanza and even better when you know some of the characters personally and are current with the issues raised.
