Outstanding and Immersive
This album by album review and analysis of every Jethro Tull album has pleased me to no end. The hosts, though painfully young to my old ears, provide a mature, thoughtful and very fair evaluation of every song on each album. The Discussions not only explore the lyrics and melodies, but deep dive into the musical roots, cultural influences and personalities of the band members. Both Joey Vetter and Eugene Manko show great knowledge of their subject, a firm grasp on music history and theory, and provide a wealth of interesting information. These guys are not simply mega-fan boys droning on about how "awesome the band is." I've yet to catch them out on any inaccurate information or sycophantic diatribes. They present the songs in chronological order, defaulting to the excellent Steven Wilson remixes where available. As they discuss each song, it is playing in the background. A very well produced podcast. I've been a Jethro Tull fan since the very early 70's, having followed them avidly for most of the last 50 years. I own all the albums and I've seen the band live (in most if it's iterations) 26 times and have even met many of the band members on several occasions. This podcast further solidifies my feelings that Jethro Tull is one of the finest bands of the rock era.Read full review »

Tull music is quite complicated. The lads have some music theory knowledge and they are at their best when they break a song down and discect its structure. Worth your time.

I don’t always agree with both hosts, or even one host, but I love how the episodes make me look differently at the albums that have been so important to me since my early years. Great stuff!
