In this episode of Veteran On the Move, Joe is joined by entrepreneur, military spouse, and founder of Spouse-ly, Monica Fullerton. Inspired by the successful side businesses of military spouses, Monica created an online community and marketplace for consumers to shop from military and first-responder owner businesses. She speaks candidly about the challenges of entrepreneurship and the actions she has taken to not only grow her business but also support her community. About Our Guest
Military life often requires wearing lots of hats, and thats especially true for Monica. Named a Trailblazer in Tech by Military Spouse Magazine, Forbes Next 1000 List, named on the MIGHTY 25 list as one of the most influential leaders supporting the military community, named on the Entreprenista 100 list as one of the best community-led businesses, and recently named on the Inc. Female Founder 200 List, Fullerton is an ambitious corporate business woman turned entrepreneur, twin mom, and Air Force spouse.
Spouse-ly, founded by military spouse Monica Fullerton, is an online marketplace to shop and support military & first responder owned businesses. Like many other military spouses, Monica had to pivot with her own career dreams and goals to adjust to finding a career that would be able to move around with the military lifestyle. While working her corporate career, she started a side business with her mother-in-law and it brought her such joy to be able to do something she truly loved on the side. After quickly discovering how much talent was within the military community alone, she knew she had to do something to bring everyone together on one easy platform for anyone to shop small, make a big impact, and purchase with a purpose.
This year Spouse-ly teamed up with U.S.VETS, the leading nonprofit working to end veteran homelessness, for a campaign called Make Camo Your Cause.
