Tough topic poorly handled
I can’t believe WBUR allowed this podcast to move forward with so little empathy toward the victim’s family and the perpetrator’s wife’s ex. This reporter asks so many solid questions and does such great work with Jake, and yet is—until the final episode—pretty much blind to the reasons that ex wouldn’t want him around his children and why the victim’s family doesn’t want him free. There’s no law that requires a family to forgive their child’s killer or to speak with reporters. This podcast would have been much stronger if she admitted her bias and addressed the victim’s side of the justice system instead of mocking their suffering.

This is interesting. I remember this happening ~ This is a very different look at a horrific event and how the families have evolved.
