“This podcast will undoubtedly elicit the undivided attention of its’ listeners. Especially if you listened to Missing Alissa, which is also compelling. The first podcast doesn’t disappoint. The actual story itself is on par with the likes of S Town and Serial, in that the situation is almost too crazy to be real. The entire story points sharply to an injustice that borders on the negligent. It evokes a sense of bewilderment and frustration, with an abundance of the latter. The manipulation and narcissism of Sarah’s father is palpable. It makes you seriously question our justice system, and how some cases are chosen to be pursued, while others are not, even when the answer is blatantly obvious. Most of all, it’s just heartbreaking. This was a real girl, whose safety, innocence, and happiness, was championed by zero adults in her life. It’s a tragedy of the worst kind.”
