I always enjoy these episodes, they are enjoyable to listen to and the research is done well. Please consider not doing the “secret after show”…all of a sudden there is all this nervous, weird chatter with lots of filler words. It is such an abrupt change from the polished podcasts, that I have...Read full review »

I am new to the podcast, but have binged the episodes about Alissa’s story all within 2 days. I am so impressed how Sarah has been able to turn tragedy into such a powerful medium for making this world better. Her calm and collected manner in relating these two emotionally poignant stories in a...Read full review »

I couldn’t stop listening to this podcast. I’ve followed the story for a very long time and am amazed by this sister’s quest for the truth.

Just listening to Sara’s reporting about her sister’s disappearance and her determination to find out what happened. My heart goes out to her for everything she has been through ❤️

Props to Sarah Turney for dedicating her life to exposing this twisted story of her sister and her own childhood. I don’t know how you do it and I think you are absolutely Amazing. This story reminds me of memories of my adolescence and I hate what both of you guys went through. It wasn’t fair! I...Read full review »

Sarah is the best example of someone who will stop at nothing to find her sister Alissa. I’ve listed to every episode once and the ones of Alissa, twice! Alissa, Sarah and the brothers deserve justice!

Amazing research and stories that are victim focused. But the ads are 10x louder than the podcast which really disrupts listening

I have listened to every episode of this podcast and I will always support anything you do! Hearing the interview with your dad absolutely broke my heart. You are so strong and Alissa would be so proud of you.

I found Alyssa’s podcast during Covid and have been an avid listener since. The way she relentlessly pursues justice for her sister after others have repeatedly failed is endearing. The way she stands up to her father, law enforcement and the world, continuing to be the sole person fighting this...Read full review »

I hate this for you. I know you feel like hammering down and battering your dad with questions, but I don’t think this is good for you. It seems like he got to you in this episode. I think your dad is a narcissistic psychopath. There is no winning. They will never tell the truth. Every...Read full review »

Updated 09/30/24 to say Sarah has gone on to help other families and share others stories. Her podcast is one of the very few true crime podcasts that I will listen to because she encourages action and does more than tell stories for entertainment. She has opened my eyes and changed my viewpoints...Read full review »

Such great content! The vocal fry and weird cadence of her voice makes it almost unlistenable. I’ve heard her voice on another podcast that she produced (Media Pressure, also great) and she didn’t sound like this so I’m not sure what’s happening.
Emilex67 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/17/24
The stories are interesting but the vocal fry & cadence (sounds like she’s reading 1 sentence at a time and it doesn’t “flow”) often makes it unbearable to listen to. I want to listen to the stories but sometimes I just can’t tolerate the vocal fry.

Hi Sarah, I listened to your preview of the new stuff for media pressure and a few of the phone conversations were really hard to hear (the audio) So I’m not trying to criticize I just wanted you to know before you start to finalize it. This is great information. I wish I could listen. The only thing worse than a podcaster with weird inflections and vocal fry is a podcaster who whispers with weird inflections and vocal fry. Voice coach!

This isn’t another mindless true crime podcast. Sarah is so intentional about each person that she features and always shares how to best help these cases. Too monotone, no inflection. The voice doesn’t reflect any changes in mood, attitude or emphasis. I keep trying to listen. I like that the information given is intentional and accurate but some of the delivery is off. Hey Sarah! Great work in the Elizabeth Salgado case. I live in Utah (and work in the criminal justice system) and had no idea about her education and career goals.
