Great podcast! I first listened to Missing Alissa and wasn’t sure if this would be just repeat, but it’s totally worth listening to. I am a mental health therapist and have family members with major mental illness and know fully well how exhausting it can be. Your patience is outstanding when...Read full review »

I appreciate the way the host, Sarah Turney, presents each episode. The podcasts are well researched and laid out in an organized format. She doesn’t engage in opinion and doesn’t get side tracked with speculation. Keep up the great work!

Sarah is a great voice for victims families. Her work is awesome but I have to agree, I don’t know what is with the inflections in her actual voice. I’ve heard her speak in interviews and she is easy to listen to. I understand being a little more monotone for this content, but the way she is...Read full review »

Great content, super hard to listen to this narrator’s strange inflection in her speech.

Her normal voice would be fine, but she changes it during the episodes. It is like nails on a chalkboard. Hard no which is sad because the content is great!

Giving a 5 star review for a 5 star, effective, compelling, well-thought out podcast and a creator who cares. Sarah is a deeply loving person who deserves all her flowers, and is inspirational for taking a negative to make a positive. And while that’s inspirational, it is recognized by this...Read full review »

I just found this podcast and I can’t turn it off. I’ve been listening for 10 hours today. I can’t believe the transcript events of Alissa and Sarah’s childhood. Although the topics are difficult to listen to I really enjoy listening to Sarah tell the stories. She has an easy way about her....Read full review »

I listen to every episode and can easily see how much Sarah cares about every one of these victims and bringing justice for their families. And her voice being so calm and soothing is a major plus.

I highly recommend this podcast. It’s very informative and cases that I have never heard of are covered. Sarah has personally suffered the lose of her sister. I saw someone write a review saying they didn’t like her voice. Please give her podcast a chance she does a great job and unfortunately...Read full review »

I love the work Sarah puts into this but I struggle getting through an episode because of her monotone. I would rather listen to something else.

I love this podcast , not because of the popularity of your sisters case , but for the passion for justice even though it means condemning your own father. The narrator’s voice was so fake and stupid. I couldn’t even get past the first minute. Completely inauthentic.

I really tried to continue listening but couldn’t finish one episode 😵‍💫 like other reviewers, I cannot get past the inflections in the hosts voice. It’s very strange and definitely sounds forced. Not sure what the intention is of speaking this way but it’s totally taking away from the listener...Read full review »

Please please please use your normal voice! The content is great. This pod has SO much potential. But the monotone voice with the extended consonant at the end of every sentence is unbearable.

Amazing podcast, genuine host and in support of the victims and not glamorizing the criminals! Very helpful and informative, not pointless gibberish. All, so important and helpful! My heart goes out to you Sarah!

Sarah is great! I love how she only deals in facts and the victim. She is incredibly passionate about her work, I know. But her cadence is so hard to listen to. 🫣 Sarah, try a voice coach maybe? I love you though! Keep up the good work. ❤️

I love true crime podcasts and I really really tried to listen but I couldn’t get past the podcasters voice; it sounds so monotone and robotic. It was really hard to listen to, I tried listening to a couple but I actually couldn’t finish an episode.

While the cases seem interesting, I couldn’t get through even the first story because of the inflections at the end of every sentence. I tried really hard, but it was very distracting and took away from the storytelling.

I’m sure this podcast is great. But for the love of god why does the host talk like that?? She sounds like a low iq valley girl. Ugh I can’t get pass that annoying voice and her highly exaggerated pronouncements:/

This podcast is one of my top favorite true crime podcasts. I personally love your voice, it’s soothing and calm. I am one of those listeners that gets in bed, pops AirPods in, and falls asleep listening to true crime. So glad I started listening!

I really like the serious and empathetic nature of the host. I’m not a fan when hosts joke around and laugh while talking about murder, so the more serious tone of this one really works for me.

Sara is very passionate and I know her heart is 100% behind the work she puts in to all that she does. However, I agree with a lot of the other reviewers when I say that her voice is hard to listen to. There is zero personality, and, she drags on the last sound of each word. So hard to listen to the monotone voice. She has no feelings associated with the cases. I cannot get through one show because she just sounds so boring. She is a hypocrite and manipulator.
