“As a fan of the early seasons, I was really excited to hear Ann’s spin and unique take on Mary, Queen of Scots. I’m a fan of the podcast in its previous incarnations where it’s Ann, Hepburn, and maybe a special episode with a guest every now and again. The most recent season has been insufferable due to the presence of Lana Wood Johnson and Allison Epstein. By all means, keep them on the Patreon for people who enjoy their input, but please spare the rest of us. Their “expertise” on the subject matter brought nothing remarkable to the podcast and has truly turned me off to future episodes. Skip the whole Mary season, especially if you were excited about the potential for it. It has not been met and is not up to the standards Ann had set for Vulgar History.”
