“I've tried, I really have. I came to this podcast cause I love Austin Walker, having loved him on the Giantbeastcast. I don't always agree with him, but he is always an engaging listen and forces myself to consider things from different viewpoints without being aggressive or condescending. Perhaps his greatest skill though is his ability to facilitate others expressing views or contributing towards his narrative in a constructive way.
But I can't listen to the podcast anymore. The nail in the coffin was the one recent show Austin wasn't hosting. Danielle was unleashed and unfortunately her immaturity grated on me too much. It's normally held in check by Austin but I couldn't listen anymore. It made me realise that I only listened to the show for Austin. Who you let into your ears in podcasts, for me, is a very private and personal thing and it's just not worth it.
