“Child free is a ridiculous term and offensive to myself and many other women. I had 3 children and never ever felt trapped or less of a free person. I made a conscious decision and don’t consider myself less free. Children don’t imprison their parents, they compliment and fulfill our souls.
Cancer free, is something to celebrate. It’s no a choice to get cancer.
Not wanting children is a choice you made. So why are you celebrating your choice? It’s like you need listeners for verification, or you’re on a mission to make ignorant women who have little or no support feel trapped, which is childish and that term is just plain stupid.
I’m over 60, university educated from Saskatchewan Canada, I’ve traveled to 10 states in the US, 4 countries in Africa, 6 countries in Europe, the U.K. south and Central America, lived in Guatemala, and Merida in my younger years. I consider myself a world citizen, I don’t judge people until they insult women’s biological existence.
Fortunately for you, your mother’s choices were less selfish than your own.”
