Good given the time they have and content to sift through
Yes, the majority of the world call it Football not soccer. Yes, we can all pick up on the little pieces regarding the actual content etc but in the time they have available they are trying to give a picture of how it was, how it changed and the outcome. You can write individual books on Italia ‘90, Mexico ‘86, the state of British Football in the 80’s, the various incidents etc. Each one deserves, and would take more than 45-60 mins to get through. For me, ignoring the little bumps in the road and allowing me to be transported back to some incredible times, remove some fantastic moments and maybe learn one or two things I didn’t know (or more likely forgotten along the way) is what this is all about. I didn’t know the Hope Solo story but I have a rough idea now. Isn’t that what it’s all about. Regardless, these are stories told based on individuals perceptions of events based on the knowledge they have to hand. Don’t knock them for trying to put something together to allow people to reminisce or learn. Just because it’s not your cup of tea doesn’t mean they should be chastised for it. Maybe a simple, had a listen but to generic and lacking depth would be better than being overly critical?

The narrative, the host, and the MUSIC sold me on this one!! Great job, Lords of Gimlet — keep ‘em coming.
