“I always loved listening to your podcast. But the election episodes particularly “the day after” is disturbing and gives insight into how I accept your views and you don’t accept mine. Why don’t you help the effort with your influence? Focus on the positive and please stop creating more fear about things that may never happen. Clearly more than half our country - men, woman, black, latino and more - believe the economy, foreign policy, war, illegal immigrants, focus on Americans, stopping sex-trafficking, and police protection are the most important issues at the presidential level right now. People who believe these things are NOT bad. They don’t hate woman, or blacks, or gay people and they don’t believe individual rights will be taken away. They do believe the most important critical issues right now will be addressed. And that unfair laws in some states can/should be addressed at the state level. You think people didn’t vote for your candidate because she was a woman or black, you’re wrong. They didn’t vote Democratic because the candidate had no real plans to improve their life. People are struggling with basic needs. And there was nothing she “could think of” to do differently. The attitude you portrayed on this episode is more prejudice than anyone I know that voted for a republican president. Perhaps you can use your influence to help create a more moderate party - which is what the majority of Americans want. They want focus on spending in America, the Economy, effective foreign policy, legal immigration, police protection, women’s rights, and the right to marry and live life the way you want. That’s what most Americans believe. Unfortunately, we are forced to choose from two extremes. And we chose the best we could. We are not bad people who hate woman, people of color or the queer community. We are woman and we are people of color. Or we are men who love our families - not hate women. The idea you have that people vote against you vs what the believe is most important - is really ludicrous. Please stop contributing to the problem. You are all better than this and you CAN DO HARD THINGS! This might be one of those things - help promote change and unity - and stop contributing to the divide!!”
