Women’s pain management for common gynecological procedures has been a sorely neglected consideration in clinical practice for too long. For many women, IUD insertion is excruciating, with little to no pain relief offered. Two practitioners are spearheading research on using a TENS unit to improve the women’s health care experience and offer pain support.
