“I don't understand why Serial released the podcast - it’s totally off-brand.
Episode 1 was traditional Serial, focusing on one story to explain a broader, societal trend: the tragic deaths of so many people who simply believed Covid was fake and ended up dying from it needlessly, and the family members left to pick up the pieces of those preventable deaths that number in the hundreds of thousands.
But the next two episode veered away from further investigating how this came to be - Covid denialism, science skepticism, etc. - and instead took a deep dive into one person’s awful experience with child and adult trauma that culminated with the unexpected, Covid deaths of the two principal actors that facilitated the trauma.”Read full review »
