Great, could use a few improvements
Kara strikes me as caring, passionate. You can tell she truly loves helping others. The podcast episodes that are the best are those in which Kara is highly knowledgable about the subject OR brings in "experts" for interviews about topics. The podcast falters where Kara gives advice that is limited by her lack of expertise in an area. In the DIY makeup episodes, it would have been helpful to talk to a beauty blogger or makeup artist about product recommendations and tips rather than only recommending what works for her. For instance, the foundation she suggested comes in shades that wouldn't be appropriate for a darker-skinned woman. I appreciated her statement of support for LGBT couples, but instead of being defensive about how pro-LGBT she is, she couldn't interviewed LGBT couples or planners who frequently work with LGBT folks about issues their community may face when planning a wedding (e.g potential discrimination from vendors). Overall, her advice is spot-on, but these are some improvements I think she could make.Read full review »

A recent episode had 8 minutes of talking about vault memberships and disclaimers before I got to any actual advice about wedding timelines. I’m not patient enough to wait that long to be told that I should plan ahead for my wedding day. Can look this stuff up at home in seconds.
