“If you are a Manga reader and you never heard this podcast well you might as well give me your Otaku card and get out of here! Okay let me explain you simpleton:
The format of WMR is different from most podcasts since it has a recap of the most recent chapter of various series (mostly Shounen Jump) and they often do a review of a series they get from recommendations!
To me the most defining charateristic is the empathic feel (Uhhh Big words here guys) that the hosts Chris "Hil" Larios and Nik "Thinks-so-too" Freeman emanate, unlike the other otaku podcasts that get highly critical and can create a lot of salt between you and them this one however seems to feel like you are on a bar talking to your otaku friends discussing about that new chapters of those manga you all read, creating discussions, making stupid jokes and laughing around. No words can really explain this feeling so grab a snack and start listening!
I also recommend hearing it live on twitch because there you can play the WMR Drinking Game! (trademark) Everytime the hosts forget a character's name you take a sip! Remember to save 911 on speed-dial, you will need it... >.>”Read full review »
