“Welcome to Level Seven is one of my new, favorite podcasts! Full disclosure: I definitely started listening late, but frequent references and plugs by some other respected podcast hosts wore me down, and am I ever glad they did! Now I am catching up with all the episodes in order to be in full synch by the Agents of Shield premiere.
Why was I a late start? Maybe I was feeling a little over saturated with too many summers full of super-hero news and film. Sure, I was planning on catching a couple episodes of Agents of Shield, but, frankly, it wasn't high on my priority list. I hadn't even watched the trailer online. Then I listened to the first W2L7 episode. Wow! The hosts' enthusiasm for the moment that titles their podcast was so infectious, so compelling, that I ran home and watched the trailer with the Blond. Yes, we now have a new favorite show, and it hasn’t even premiered yet!
A word about the hosts, themselves. Ben Avery and Daniel Butcher are no strangers to the worlds of Podcasting or Sci-Fi. They know how to do it right. They are engaging, funny, and informative. Both bring a high level of expertise to the podcast, yet they approach the subject matter as fans--knowledgeable fans, but fans none the less. They are highly relatable, and make listening fun.
Listening to Welcome to Level Seven, I find myself learning more about the marvel cinematic universe, laughing at the easygoing banter between the two hosts, and mostly, looking forward, with great anticipation, to Agents of Shield, along with a weekly dose of insightful analysis and critique from a couple of really fun and entertaining guys.
