“Unlike other reviewers, the fact that I disagree with some of their political views doesn’t instantly turn me into a whining hybrid between Jeremy Kyle and Caillou. I love this podcast. I love how they mix dark humour with charity appeals and genuine sympathy for victims and pure hatred of the capitalist, conservative mess that birthed disaster like this. I love their arguments, even when I disagree with them. (anarchism is awesome and so are fish, yay Liam) I recently discovered they also like Thomas Pynchon, because of course they do. (Gravity’s Rainbow is a masterpiece and Tchitcherine is wonderful) As long as the state keeps busting unions and also critical infrastructure that’s way to liable to kerplode near population centres, we need this podcast. Thank you for making this, and for being the first leftists I ever found on the strange paradox I have made my home in, the interwebz. Please do an episode on that factory in Glasgow that exploded. Our infrastructure here’s good enough that it only really happened once (humblebrag) and November lives here, so it’d be nice. From your friendly two-thirds transatlantic comrade.”
