This is a slightly tedious concept and quality is fairly guest dependant however that said each episode is listenable and in its own way a time stamped record for the guests life. It is very suitable listening for a hungover Sunday morning. I am writing this review to pass time whilst traveling...Read full review »

I fear I may be the only listener who knew of Max but not David when I first tuned in. Always enjoying listening on my walk to my Monday morning lecture, even on the morning when Max made a slight towards my university when talking about his aversion towards small talk. Does what it says on the...Read full review »

I love the mundanity of this show hosted by one of the top 5 podcasters in the world Max Rushden and D O’D whom I am glad to have been introduced to by the EJ & JR show. Speaking of which I will only upgrade this to 5 ⭐️ once John Robins has been a guest. That is all.

That’s it. 5 🌟

I enjoy this and find both David and Max really funny, plus their voices are smooth to listen to and there’s no shouting or ranting like many ‘comedy’ podcasts. Also love the gentle concept and that it’s everything the CEO / hustle podcasts are not. Keep it up chaps!

Really enjoyable. The one with Ellis James & Nelson’s Column is comedy gold.

I am constantly trying new podcasts. I listen to 5 minutes and think, this is utter **** and annoying to listen to. BUT THIS…. is brilliant. I can listen to this until the cows come home. Max has a lovely voice and DoD asks the most amazing questions, it is exactly the type of questions I would...Read full review »

RUMOUR: a director’s cut exists where Osman admits what he had for dinner but it was deemed too shocking for publication. Osman is so respected that it would damage us, the podcast-listening public, to hear about it. #ReleaseTheOsmanTapes

Not really, but hopefully that subject line will get me read out on the show. PS: Prior to me writing this, the show had 666 reviews on Apple Podcasts, presumably making it super evil. Max and David, you’re welcome for my cleansing of the show of this curse or whatever.

Who could ask for more? WDYDY and Richard Osman together in Episode 12, the collaboration I didn’t know I needed! Love the pod, keep up the great work. (Also, lovely to see Max on the Project 😃).

Great episode with Richard Osman, I actually paused this one when I left the room. Previously I can leave it running when I take the dog out for a walk and not feel like I have missed anything when I get back. Essential none the less, not missed one yet, in theory!

Really good podcast. Light, whimsical and fun. Can’t get the image of Snap, Crackle and Pop giving Captain Rick the American History X treatment, though. 😳

Good background listening. Some chuckles. A lot of the 4 eps I’ve listened to involve David asking questions about cats. I’m a dog person, so this is interesting to an extent. One star off for low key judging late risers (ahem Lou Sanders).

James Acaster was the best episode yet. I finally feel vindicated in having no idea who Max Rushden is. Have to admit I wasn’t even intrigued enough to bother googling it. I like David though.

If I’m honest I didn’t know if this concept would work but it’s great . Always enjoy listening to Max on the radio and David along side him (digitally) is a perfect match of personality.

The podcast is light on its feet, hugely enjoyable and I have found myself looking forward to each episode being released. As an aside, before I wrote a review thought I’d give Max a google. I was today years old when I found out Max Rushden and Andy Goldstein were different people.

I was just laughing out loud on the train! David can reassure his agent - my sister and I bought tickets for his gig in Birmingham because of the reminders on here!

Of the many new podcasts this one stands out. I think it’s different, insightful and very entertaining. Max is funny and steers the show brilliantly. David is comedy gold. Great guests. More please!

Lovely little cottage, my wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved every moment. The little touches really made our weekend special and David’s Tiffin was delicious. We will stay here again next year and would whole heartily recommend this accommodation and the pub next door. There...Read full review »

In a world where Trump looks to be winning elections and Priti Patel is back in front line politics these gentle, mindless, witty tales of the normal days of vaguely famous people is exactly the medicine I need.

Funniest and most relatable thing I currently listen to.

Decent. Number of podcasts I follow has diminished in recent times due overbearing ads and repetitive formats. This podcast is neither. Great guests and an ever changing subject to cover. Only annoyance is the producer is phoning it in using the same cut sound effects and email jingle as Quickly...Read full review »

I’m an American man in my mid-fifties who has been a teacher for almost 35 years. This is my final year of teaching, which may be the most structured occupation in the planet. I literally have bells that indicate when to start working, and when to stop. I’ve been in a full on mid-life crisis...Read full review »

In case you thought the title of this review was a slight, it really wasn't. Max and David ask the important questions about the day before today. It's funny, surprisingly relatable and it goes in your ears.Read full review »

This podcast delivers to a nosey need I never knew I had. I’m here for the tiny deets. The vacuum attachments of choice. The breakfast decisions. The sleep activation strategies. I don’t want the meanderings of thoughts on the meaning of life. I want rock bottom basics of which sock is put on...Read full review »

This is a completely pointless podcast, so for me, the perfect listen. I thought I couldn’t love Max more but then realised that we are both watching Death in Paradise from start to finish. Easy to listen to and a good background for a Sunday morning. Fed up with all the chat about the fictional “Nish Episode” at the beginning, it’s not funny anymore guys!

As James Acaster googled Max, I was googling David. Honourable men in their own right. If we worry about what others think, we will forget the most important thing… yesterday of course!

Dropped on this by accident and listened to 5 episodes in a row while driving around Ireland for work not pleasure , it’s good fun and a little insight into the lives of other people. I love this pod. Being a DOD fan for a looong time and not knowing Max (soz, soccer is not my thing) I love their interactions with each other and guests. I was holding out on writing a review until they dropped the Nish Kumar (pun intended). I will wait patiently.
