“I just have to say that I’ve been a huge fan of Amelia’s for years. This podcast is an incredibly vulnerable endeavor, and I really appreciate the honesty that she’s brought to this show.
However, I was super disappointed with the first episode of the new season. I realize you’ve had this guest on before, and that she’s been helpful to Amelia in her own personal life. But, I think it’s incredibly mean and unnecessary to call women who have sex with men on the first couple of dates as “low-hanging fruit” or to infer that these women are not “women of value.”
It’s 2020. We don’t need to be slut-shaming women for having and enjoying sex, and we certainly don’t need to perpetuate this idea that a man won’t respect a woman who does. All women have value, and the sex they have or don’t have doesn’t change that. And frankly, no one should want to date a man who views women like this.
I think this season could be as interesting and valuable as the first, but please approach it with the same positivity and love that Amelia has always done with her other work.”
