“I made up my mind to listen to this podcast with an open mind. I’m a little lost for words by the stunning lack of insight Roberta has for the crimes Carl committed and the lives he destroyed through his trafficking of drugs. Towards the end of your show, when asked about her values and whether they were consistent with the lifestyle she led, she commented, (I’m paraphrasing) that she couldn’t believe that if someone’s husband came home with $1,000,000, that person would ask no questions about its origins. Wow!!! I know a lot of people that would ask that very question!
You seemed to want to play to Roberta or ‘suck up’ during your interview. Early on in your piece you said, “I mean, Carl was a bad boy. And that’s, that’s pretty cool, right”. Carl was far from “cool”. I dare you to say to a parent who has lost their child to drugs, “Carl was cool”.
I have just started listening to you and listened from the most recent to this one, so I’ve heard only about four. Up to this one, I’ve really enjoyed them. I hope the content is different from this story. It was really hard to listen to and I only kept going so that I could leave an informed review.”
