Communicating Hilariously Across Cultures
Having dearly missed you on The Daily Show (the Snakes story is my favorite), and having seen you from the front row on Friday--a birthday present saved up from January--I was delighted to discover this new podcast! I've been a huge fan since my son, in a bookstore, got that electric chill that means something's just right. He looked at *Born a Crime* and thought, "I have to get this for Mom!" Please forgive me if this is self-indulgent, but I need to tell you: I may have looked like a white Minnesotan, but I'm not. I'm from Reno, my father was half English and half Paiute / Mexican, my mother's father was a non-religious Jew, and my husband, grown kids, and I are Sufi Muslims. Go figure. I have an MA in Intercultural Relations and taught Intercultural Communication for a number of years. So I enormously enjoy your depth, your hilarious culture-crossing insights, your often mischievous humor ('Who me?'), and your greatness kindness towards everyone. And you nailed it: In these times it's almost impossible for people who disagree to be friends or even to talk together sanely. It's a time of fear and intimidation, a time of 'Gotcha!' where many are afraid and others are furious, seeing their opponents as inhuman. Thank you for trying to address this mess! We liked Duane the Rock a lot and look forward to what comes next. All blessings on this new and much-needed adventure! Karima Vargas BushnellRead full review »

More reviews of What Now? with Trevor Noah
So pleased to see Trevor Noah had started his own pod. A great great talent and the Rock was an excellent choice of first guess. An intelligent, thoughtful, sensitive and respectful conversation which was also laugh out loud funny at times. Really looking forward to hearing future episodes.

It’s rare that we get to hear celebrities and public figures be re real. This was a sincere and insightful conversation about real issues we all care about between two very public figures that we all love. You can’t miss that!

It’s not even fully out yet, but Trevor Noah’s new podcast is already my new favorite! I might like even more than my own, The Power We Hold… 😉 Trevor’s fresh perspective and unique voice speaks to the heart so profoundly. I’m here for everything he has to say ever! 🙏🏽🥰⭐️
