Joh is an amazing teacher to craft so concise and understandable of an answer in such a short podcast. So interesting to have explained -the origins of the law, how it came to be and how it applies going forward. How a seemingly obscure application to a current situation is effected by the intent...Read full review »

I love this show. Elizabeth Joh is amazing. Just wish it happened more often

Thank you for this series - I was actually pre-law as a student and left the field when I realized I liked the history of the law more than the law itself- now I have this show and have loved it since day 1 - even if this nation finally forces the orange moron out of politics by voting to keep...Read full review »

But that’s OK cuz the subject matter is the dry-as-bones parchment doc. called our Constitution. She’s absolutely brilliant and knows how to speak with precision. Roman just adds a little comic relief.

Roman, Jo, for a podcast that has no fanfare you are simply amazing. I rely on you to make sense of what is happening with Trump and our country—and I’m a lawyer and a con law buff! Please keep it coming, especially now! Thanks for this podcast!

Smart, timely, and informative. Appreciate the explanation of constitutional precedent to help us understand how to think about current events.

And Roman Mars too. But let’s face it. Elizabeth is the person with the knowledge. Roman says himself he’s a student too. But without him we wouldn’t have this podcast. So high five to him and Elizabeth Joh..

So many podcasts try to bring drama to the interview. These discussions are intelligent factual and concise. They draw you in provide you with all the necessary information so you feel confident knowing you can make an informed decision on the subject. Thank you for being authentic.

I had started to wonder if we'd ever get another episode, and voila! One arrived! It was great. Keep 'em coming. Sporadic is fine if that works for you. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, all the holidays and non-holidays should be filled with joy for all of you! Jan In Northern...Read full review »

Please please please do more and more often! Such great knowledge about the law and it’s complexities. So educational. So interesting. I only wish that we had all listened to a podcast like this years ago so that we could have all understood how important the Supreme Court. Thanks Roman. Please...Read full review »

Great summation for these interesting times. I’ve been following this podcast from the beginning. Today I was struck by the thought that if the Constitution survives this time, the country that remains will have a great deal of gratitude for someone like Trump who came along and proved the genius...Read full review »

There’s an idea in educational psychology, called interleaving, which is simply about learning an idea, leaving it for a while, and coming back to learn and relearn. So here I am again starting at the early episodes as if I’m studying for an exam. Love the show and willing to do it all over again!

Please please please hoping you’ll comment on Clarence Thomas, Justice Roberts’ letter to Congress, and the growing ‘stench’ as Justice Sotomayor put it. And for what it’s worth I love the weird bouncy intro music.

That’s all. Please keep doing more! 😍 So concisely informative, insightful, and clear. But for the love of Pete, change that annoying theme song. Or at least shorten it to like 5 seconds. Thank you!!

Absolutely fantastic! Informative, entertaining (Roman Mars style), and without a doubt relevant to our times. I’m riveted every time I listen. My only (very mild )complaint is the somewhat infrequent releases of episodes… but that makes it so much sweeter when a new one drops!

What the professor says is very interesting and informative, but almost every one of her sentences trails off into absolutely nerve-grating vocal fry. 5-star content with 1-star delivery. I had to turn it off.

Mr Mars and Professor Joh are like two friends keeping me up to date on how Constitutional Law affects us all. The prof is interesting and explains everything without sounding pedantic. Roman sound delighted when he learns something new. A great team.

The content is good and the professor is excellent but Roman Mars whispers and swallows his words. Dude, if you’re going to host a podcast speak up so your listeners can actually hear you.

Beware! This podacst is full of propaganda. I love 99pi but Roman you need to broaden your horizons and get a grip on reality. It’s these sorts of shows that breed the useful idiots that are ruining our great country.
SingingHoofWoman via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/06/22
This is a great idea for an educational podcast, but it would be much better without the clear political biases of Ms. Joh. We don’t need to hear “the 6 conservatives” with negative connotation 30 times an episode while giving favor to opinions of the democrat justices.
Angry15422 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/31/22
This is not a valid debate on the issues weighed by the court. Just one side argued with a few simplified straw men thrown in as counter points. Just think of what the most leftist politician’s viewpoint would on a given issue & that’s what the conclusion will be in this podcast. Very...Read full review »

Issues that rise up to the SCOTUS are rarely simple. There's always issues of multiple competing matters of constitutional interest. It can be infuriating listening to this podcast, however I am interested in how the left side thinks and I almost always learn something. Latest episode on Dobbs complains about how hard it’ll be to kill babies. Only con law they talk about is how precious precedent is… which they love over turning as long as it’s not protecting the most vulnerable amongst us… unborn babies.
