Episode 40/ lighthouse
As a Canadian who has lived on Vancouver Island I had a little chuckle when the host asked the lighthouse keeper about having ammunition and bears on the island. While I understand that the host is not a Canadian, the questions were amusing yet somewhat ill informed, which suggests that the host might want to do some important research prior to his interviews. Podcasts reach a large international audience and the host should be aware of the cultures, practices and philosophies of different regions of the world. This will help to make the podcast less “ American centric” Thanks to the host for reaching out to us up here north of the 49th parallel, and also a big thank you to the lighthouse keeper’s responses which were politely on point!

Really enjoyable and different kind of podcast. My empathy levels have gone up just listening. Eye opening.

Scott is an excellent interviewer. I don’t know how he finds he people he’s talked to, but each one has an amazing story of resilience in intense and deadly situations. I’ve downloaded the last three episodes and will be going through the archives for older ones. Keep up the good work!
