I support a few low key podcasts via Patreon. I’ve also purchased products from ads from podcasts. Wanting $5 a month for two podcasts a month an easy pass. Bonus 911 content is even worse. Ppl screaming at 911 not a good sell. Do better and charge less or have a weekly output.

I like how Scott interviews, great questions. Great topics. The guest are really interesting.

So interesting!

I cannot recommend this enough. Scott does such an amazing job of interviewing and the guests are so diverse with such incredible stories to tell. I have found moments of incredible relatability; complete surprise; sadness and joy… I have skipped certain episodes based on their titles alone and...Read full review »

I thought the lovely Swiss background on Chris’ hang gliding “snafu” looked familiar. When he later referred to the Interlaken Tourist Bureau, my hunch was correct. I worked 2 seasons in hotels in that region in the early 1970s (Thun Lake—between Interlaken & Bern and in the small ski town of...Read full review »

It’s hard to say that this is entertaining, especially whilst you are hearing people’s stories of grief and fear and misery and SHOCK. But this was honestly the best, (and I’ve listened to thousands of hours of podcasts).

This is one of my “listen first” pods. The host, stories and format all enjoyable and often hard to believe. I appreciate that the host let’s them tell their story without inserting his own dialogue .

How one white privileged male somehow managed, with help from Scott’s verbal back slapping, to make himself a hero out of smuggling cocaine with absolutely no sense of shame or remorse over what he did. I wonder how a young black male from a poor background would have been treated along the...Read full review »

I’m really enjoying this podcast. I usually find myself drawn to the true crime genre but it does start to become soul sucking, hearing all the doom and gloom. This podcast is great because you get to hear survival stories. People going through some of the worst situations and living to tell the...Read full review »

Sending love and hugs to Michael. What a terrifying situation. Just going along about your day, working hard. When someone tries to kill you. Will Michaels leg ever be healed? Probably not. I’m so sorry. The felon/bad guy got off way to easy! He had previously been in prison! He doesn’t...Read full review »

I have been unable to stop listening to this podcast since I found it about a month ago. The topics cover such a wide range of the human experience, I have yet to listen to one episode where I wasn't completely enthralled. The host’s questions are thoughtful and deepen the conversation...Read full review »

The chosen episode topics are interesting enough but Scott the interviewer is quite cringy. The stories would be better received if they were edited and only the narrators voice was heard. Also they are too long and get into too much boring detail. Love + radio, is this actually happening,...Read full review »

I love most. This was boring. I’ve had this happen to either me, my kids or a friend many times.

I love this podcast. Very interesting and Scott is a great interviewer and this is a must listen podcast .

Love this show but the “Saw the Hit” episode is laughable. We have an accident, the guest (passenger), the victim, another person with a phone, a nurse, a dispatcher, and a second dispatcher on another phone. The dispatcher told the guest she was in charge and the guest took that command to...Read full review »

"Karen gave birth in a Subaru" episode is the first time I've listened to this podcast. Karen seems to be aptly named. She comes across as cynical, rude, and not fun to be around. She complains about her in laws, the dispatcher, the ambulance crew, and the nurses. She literally tells...Read full review »

I an an Australian and really enjoy this podcast, although the lady (short stories November 23) that wouldn’t give the child one scoop of ice cream in a cone because he was 3 cents shorts was ridiculous. I would of been angry as well like the dad.

Worst episode ever. You didn’t get any better stories?? The majority were not interesting, intriguing or even that weird. As for the rest of the podcast…some episodes are ok but Scott needs to up his game as he seems condescending and boring. I use this podcast as a filler when I run out of shows.
Megan Haley via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/26/23
The stories are always intriguing, but there is a condescending undertone from Scott. One of the first episodes I listened to was “Lex Couldn’t Stop Bleeding”. When they were discussing her profession (a lactation consultant) his tone implied that it was a joke, he then proceeded with “you see...Read full review »

Such a great platform to be able to hear so many interesting stories. Sadly many recent episodes are only able to be listened to with a paid subscription so will be unfollowing for now.

I’m always excited when a new episode comes out and I’m always disappointed when it’s a repeat. If I wanted to hear it again I’d go back and play it again.

The host is great and the stories are unforgettable. It is life changing to hear real and raw stories from people and without any agendas behind them just truth and vulnerability.

One of my favorites. I enjoy how Scott interviews the guests. He asks questions but let’s them just tell the story. He always comes off as non biased which is refreshing.

Scott always has such interesting and articulate guests. He is one of the best hosts (and I listen to a lot of podcasts) because he always listens and asks questions that help us as listeners, understand very clearly what is happening in the story. Can’t wait for the next series to begin !
