This is a great show that takes you back through some of the biggest stories in recent history. You gotta listen.

I have become Erica Vella’s biggest fan. I love her “What Happened To…?” Podcast. Her journalism/reporting is intelligent and interesting. I hang on every word. The theme of the show speaks for itself. She works on the follow through after a story has lost its lustre. The best parts are when she...Read full review »

I appreciate a well produced and informative podcast. With everyone and their brother having the ability to record a podcast, there are too many hosts and guests talking over each other and rambling or repeating themselves. Thank you for an exceptional product! Binge listening and subscribed for...Read full review »

I was searching for a podcast to bring forth some new knowledge on the Pulse NightClub shootings, & this pod is everything I was hoping it would be!! I’m super excited to check out all the other episodes & am so glad I found it. I wanted a “dateline”, meets “something was wrong” of sorts....Read full review »

I can’t continue to listen to your podcast. When a murderer kills 11 people, injures 16 and gets “ life in prison “ , but could get parole after 25 years , that tells me Canada’s justice system is a JOKE !! I can’t listen to any more stories where a killer doesn’t get the true justice they...Read full review »

I’d rather listen to 10000 hz for 8 hours than this podcast.

The format is so dull. Its like a dry news story rather than an engrossing podcast. It’s too bad because the topics are cool. Writers should listen to Criminal or Serial or Ear hustle to get a real taste for podcasting.

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. It makes my drives and cleaning enjoyable… super thankful for this! I can’t get enough.

This podcast is fascinating. Stories are told here that you’ve never heard. Deeper dives are taken into important and extremely interesting details. You may as well put your scuba gear on you’re going so deep. They do a great job of going to the sources, people who were actually there when these...Read full review »

I was looking forward to listening to some of these, but the ladies voice is not pleasant on the ear. This is not meant in a mean spirited way, it’s just the way it is. Sorry about that.

I really appreciate the intersectionality in this journalism. Specifically in the Flint Water Crisis episode where some time was spent addressing systemic racism and not brushing over on the way to something else.

I happened upon a new podcast at the end of 2021. And I’m very grateful that I did. “Global news what happened to… “ By Curious cast. It is wonderful synopsis of news breaking stories with a follow up. It is so interesting to have the perspective of time to look back up on the news events and...Read full review »

Nice podcast. I like that the show is not spotlighting the journalist but the total focus is on the subject. I was actually riveted and that is rare these days. Thanks. I am a fan.

This is a podcast that brings back stories which used to be upfront but got forgotten as the news move too fast in search of the next event. The updates are so interesting and informative, showing us how little we are told on the regular news. Love it and will keep on following as long as it lasts.

Love this podcast! Erica is so intelligent and informative. It’s a great way to educate yourself about what’s happening around the world when you can’t always read the news. I listen on my way to and from work. Erica also has a great voice and easy to listen to. Can’t wait for more stories!

Very well researched and often presented with stories from the people involved and what happened after the “news cycle” moved on. Excellent writing and presentation.

A well researched podcast. Spoken well and perfectly delivered. Although I’d have enjoyed a #nonotoriety approach. Why name these diseased animals?

I like the premise of this podcast and first came in at the Zike virus episode. Lots of interesting information, but Erica needs to eliminate her vocal fry. It is so distracting that I began waiting for it instead of concentrating on the content.

This podcast looks back at news issues that were in the forefront on the front page , but then forgotten and pushed aside as other stories take over. Some things should not be forgotten. This podcast is a great journey and should be listened to.

Erica does a professional job in these podcasts. I especially like when she describes her surroundings in detail. Great podcast, I really enjoy a more in-depth look at major news stories, and the aftermath that is often lost in the 24hr news cycle. Erica Vella does a great job and is receptive to listener input and ideas for future episodes. Can’t wait to hear more!
