Description
There is a special heritage episode to come for this but... it is okay to lead with a meeting where creatives were allowed to the second session with Robyn of Sound Composed and able to sit in, interact, ask questions and arrange meetings. A big shout out to the ladies who represented well for newer art forms and a big hearty thanks to the arts council for accepting the invitation to roll up sleeves and get in to all the things people think but might not say. Thank you to all present from different creative fields, management or legal.
THE EPISODE
The National Arts Council of Zambia has embarked on a once in a generation drive to ensure that Zambia is able to transition and support its creatives in new and innovative ways. The future platforms are global and yet locally driven therefore working out how to support this and quickly is on the mind of NAC Director Maanka Adrian Chipindi.
From gaming, film, animation, music to blended culture and heritage fields, how does an old infrastucture prepare itself for a digital future? How does Zambia's youthful population get to be fully engaged in their future? How can older generations get active, share knowledge and help with the job creation and support to change the face of Zambian creativity forever. With intangible assets and intellectual property to be protected, how will NAC navigate the new arena.
NEXT EPISODES UP TODAY
In the next episode you will hear young women openly exhibit their unique power and hear how some are already miles ahead in pursuit of collective success.
Can the bad actors be weeded out of an ecosystem? Lots to come from the What's Up Zambia, taken from Whats App, Zoom and phone behind the scenes open conversations with Robyn of Sound Composed, hosted by British Council Southern Africa Arts.
HOST PARTNERSHIP
This researcher had pre-determined a need for PACRA app and the results show that interactive website, app and skill exchange will certainly drive NAC in to partnering up to occupy neatly organised digital space for culture, creativity and creative tech online. The ability to have creative skills and cultural exchange partnerships is discussed within the series from positive debate to passionate views expressed. Do not miss out. Start here by meeting Maanka Adrian Chipindi and let him guide you from who NAC is to the policies at play. Then listen as he deals with each issue raised and participates openly in all discussions. This is NAC. Open for Business.
