A great summation of "how" rather than "what".
Zack Twamley takes on the wars that have ravaged the world, but with a twist. Rather than digging too deeply into the "what" of war--troop placements, tactics and logistics--he deals with the "how" of war. What are the causes of conflict? How did diplomatic efforts arise and fail to achieve peace? These are the issues that "When Diplomacy Fails" examines. This is a very well put-together podcast which hits every note I look for in a podcast while I work. Zack has an engaging voice and odd sense of humour lending a bit of lightness to a heavy subject. He has a good grasp of what makes for a fun and educational podcast and doesn't let the mounds of detail become too cumbersome.
