“What an unusual beast this podcast is. Picking up on the great wave of amateur history podcasts, but doing something unique and pleasurable with it. This podcast, by maintaining a light, conversation style and visiting some of the lesser know (but still important) bits of history does something some don't - stay interesting 100% of the time.
Zach skips all the bits where so-and-so begat so-and-so during a long period in which not much happened, instead, diving right in, throwing a bit of context around it, and doing the dramatic bits.
