This podcast came up based on some other listening. Maybe the story was told very poorly, but the whole story felt insulting to me as someone who is fresh out of an abusive relationship. I kept waiting for anything that I could relate to. She never said this man was a diagnosed personality...Read full review »

Allyn’s story is heartbreaking, but exactly what we need. We need to be able to talk about our relationships when things don’t seem right, and how to find help. It’s so scary how many women experience abusive relationships! By sharing resources, multiple perspectives, and expert advice, she’s...Read full review »

This story unfolds very slowly, and I feel like also lacks accountability on her end. I liked this at first because I found a lot of similarities in a past relationship of mine. But I also look back on that relationship and take accountability for the parts I played in it without labeling him...Read full review »

Breakups are sad but this podcast, while well intended, is like the friend that never gets over an old boyfriend…Tine heals all wounds and hopefully time wounds all heels…There is not always pathology or abuse when people just aren’t meant to be together…

Hated for it to end! Very compelling.

I feel really bad saying this, but friends, family, and the therapists should have advised against making this podcast. I think labeling somebody as a narcissist is borderline unethical—it seems like a bad relationship that you should’ve been done with a long time ago. Forget the 30%, 70%… he...Read full review »

So raw and personal, yet professional and profoundly informative. Such a difficult story to share, I’m sure it will help many others in their grief and need for support.

You described so many similarities I experienced with my own past situation that I hadn’t even thought of before. And I thought I had addressed everything due to habitually binging countless podcasts on this topic. Thank you so much for sharing, it has truly helped me (and I’m sure many others)...Read full review »
