“I’m a fan of true crime podcasts—so I don’t offend easily and am not particularly squeamish. In this case, I had to turn the podcast off midway because Gibson seemed to be enjoying the spotlight and reveling in the details of his killings way too much. That was really hard to listen to. I can believe that the intent of the show is to provide insight into such criminals and their crimes. However, the resulting effect is gratuitous and sensationalist rather than informative. The concept seems to serve the host much more than listeners and the greater public, including the victims and their families.”
