“Huge true crime fan. The idea of this podcast seems super interesting and it’s great that the host wants to get closure for families... but it seems that these killers are getting a spotlight. It’s very difficult to hear them discuss in detail their crimes, and it takes a lot for something like this to make me uneasy.
In episode one when Phil calls a victim’s sister, I became extremely uncomfortable. These are real people who have had awful tragedy in their lives. Seems a bit exploitative to include their phone calls in this podcast, even with their permission.
I’m all for solving cold cases and getting these killers to confess, it’s important. But having an extremely intimate and private moment broadcasted to thousands of people may cause more trauma to the victim’s families. This podcast has potential, but be aware of how you are outputting this information to the masses.”
