The first 3 episodes are one long google commercial
The host is nice enough. The google folks interviewed are great. But you really learn almost nothing in the first 3 episodes. The first 3 episodes are one very long saccharin sweet commercial. After episode 3 things improve and the podcast begins to present more interesting info. There were moments that these self protrayed heroes almost made me puke. Do these folks not realize that there are many folks working hard and accomplishing many cool things that help others. Ah the self absoption level is rather high. I am a google search, gmail and google docs user. Google search is awesome. Google docs is great. gmail is great but it does give me the creeps that google reads every single email and knows everything i every purchased online using my gmail account and i have no way of stopping google from reading my email. Ok if it is free you are the product. Youtube's reccommendation algorithm is designed to drive up a user's viewing time to generate more ad revenue and to do this it reccommends sensational content because it keeps the user watching longer. This nudges viewers into a more uninformed extreme world views all because google wants more money.Read full review »

Interesting podcast. Keep in mind this Google marketing not an impartial look at data centers. I wish Google would have partnered with an independent documentarian.
