This is an investigative podcast, that REALLY investigates, not speculates. Interviews with police, women, and the suspect. Real risk, but real intelligence, KINDNESS, and real social investigation and commentary. SAM - you did incredible work, so moving, I’m a rape victim and the way you spoke...Read full review »

Incredible piece of work and really well documented by Sam. As for the police it just beggars belief.

This corporation has been the symbol of dishonesty, corruption, bullying, Child abuse… they have employed the likes of Jymmy “fix it” Saville, Gary Glitter…. They are covering up Gaza All we are allowed to do is reviewing their work!

Horrified and enthralled in equal measure. Can’t get this tragic travesty out of my head. Thank you for trying to make things right.

I listen to a lot of Crime podcasts, and during the initial TV series and subsequent podcast series there were tiny pieces that did not quite sit right due to Police Officers (serving at the time) being unable to reveal everything they actually knew, however, now they’ve retired, the truth is...Read full review »

Wow
Wow. As a former US city prosecutor I am enthralled by this case. Both the justice and the “issues” sound familiar to me.

Sam I am truly in awe of what you (and Eamon) achieved through this podcast. Thank you for shedding a light on this travesty of justice, for being so kind to the women at the centre of the story, and for being so boldly brave in the face of a killer.

Compulsive listening. This is a truly incisive piece of journalism, extremely well put together. It’s simply a disgrace to hear the scant regard on the part of the police for the value of the lives of prostitutes and their families here in Glasgow. This is a must listen. I have now listened to...Read full review »

Amazing journalism. An incredibly sad, emotionally painful story. Thank you for sharing Emma’s story. I hope Emma and her family get the justice they deserve.

Chilling, compelling and emphatically told

Sam does a brilliant job walking you through this investigation. I really like how she describes things (e.g. what Emma looked like) so you can visualise things a bit better whilst listening to the story. I’d love the team to do a follow up episode so we know what the situation is now! My...Read full review »

At least 20 percent of this podcast is useless because of the bad Scottish accents.

Well researched podcast and a story that needed to be told for Emma, her family and other victim survivors of sexual abuse and violence against women. To the brave women who spoke their truth, I see you, I feel you and I send you much love. There should be no judgment or shame levelled at anyone...Read full review »

So glad I listened to this, I live in Glasgow and remember this, and the other womens, murders. Left feeling cheated for them and angry at the police attitudes 😡

How refreshing, to hear a podcast presented by someone with a good quality voice. No vocal fry here. No self-indulgence. Well-researched, moving and at times infuriating (due to the story, not it’s presentation).

Wonderful delivered program of the reality of Emma’s life and death and the injustice that followed. The negligence of the police and criminal justice service to not only bring to justice Emma’s killer but all the other crimes. Sam says, this is not a story it is people’s lives. Sam provided a glimpse of the tough and harrowing lives of the victims, their families and the unspeakable violence they experience. The podcast left me asking what is wrong with men that these horrific murders are almost commonplace, and what...Read full review »

I was so gripped I missed my exit on the motorway. Thank you for giving these women a voice. This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. The reporter shows a determination to get to the bottom of the story. I had to stop listening right after the “Clear My Name” episode. The writer/narrator’s voice becomes even more breathy when she describes Iain Packer. Thank you for highlighting the terrible injustices that police do not prioritise because the victims are considered not ‘worthy’ enough.
