Respect
Congratulations to the reporter on the outstanding journalism on this series. This piece above all else speaks to respect. From the parents to child, police to victims, society to profession. Women don’t wake up and choose to be sex workers. Nor do men. People don’t asked to be raped, abused, lied to or anything other then what we all would expect. Respect. It takes bravery in a way that no one else would every imagine to do what they do in that moment of desperation. I hope that I should never have to have that decision but I will say this piece struck a heart string. The poor families and all those years. Levels of disrespect. Apologizes are owed to the families if nothing. My deepest sympathies.

Amazing journalism. An incredibly sad, emotionally painful story. Thank you for sharing Emma’s story. I hope Emma and her family get the justice they deserve.
