“Genuinely shocking this was produced by a major newspaper in 2023. Calling a grown man’s abuse of a child an “affair” was quite a repulsive choice. Also there were so many gross swallowing and gulping noises that weren’t edited out of the IRL recorded interviews. Sometimes the journalist would say they were speaking over a “bad international connection” and you could barely understand a person. Why not just get on a Zoom?”
