Whoop strap inaccurate
The Whoop strap’s HR data is inaccurate compared to my Apple Watch and wahoo Tickr. Although the sleep data (motion data) seems right, the algorithm requires good HR data to measure strain, detect activities, and calculate recovery. If you inquire with customer service about the HR data, they will tell you that you are wearing it wrong (not tight enough and not in the right spot on your wrist.) As for the podcast, there are some interesting interviews, but the CEO seems a bit obsessed with interviewing other millionaires and billionaires who happen to be amateur athletes. He talks about taking Whoop public and ostensibly cashing in. Don’t like the criticism? Check the data against other sources. We will see where Whoop is 36 months from now. Especially when anyone can create an app for an Apple Watch that measures activity, sleep, and HR with no special band…

This podcast is incredible. Love all the hosts and guests. Kristin Holmes is a fantastic scientist and is incredible at her job, but if she keeps talking over people that she’s interviewing and interrupting them, I’m going to rip my hair out.

The female interviewer keeps talking and while the expert guest is speaking she keeps saying “Hmm-hm” and “Yeah” every 3-5 seconds. Incredible annoying.
