“I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s. Every year my sisters and I received another Little House book at Christmas until we each had the full set. I love them.
I am going to re read them with new eyes because of this podcast. It’s so important to grow, to see people with new information… but none of this changes my love for the Laura and the books. This was a different time, and I will take the good from that time while acknowledging the bad, the ignorance and the hubris of their thinking.
I will never not love these books, and if I’m ever lucky enough to have grand children, I will read Laura to them… with discussion!
