“I so appreciate this podcast and the research put into all things Laura Ingalls Wilder. I read the books over and over as a child also. When I reread them as an adult, I had the same reaction to the racist content - I remember feeling bad for the Native Americans even when reading as a child. I appreciate the struggle between our naive take on the books as children and the stark reality of what was actually portrayed.”
